Dogs love Slumber Parties Too

Looking for an alternative to traditional kenneling? Then you’re gonna love Tara’s Place Sleepovers. In fact, we joke that “boarding” is a bad word around here. You won’t find any old-school, all-day crating at Tara’s Place. All dogs on Sleepovers enjoy our “cage-free” fun all day as part of our Doggie Daycare group, with full access to our temperature-controlled indoor play areas (divided by size) and our completely fenced outdoor playground.

Like all slumber parties, the lil’ ones are tuckered out come bedtime, when we give them each a biscuit treat and tuck them into their own individual Bunk for a quiet night’s rest.

Our Doggie Bunks are professional-grade Mason Sani-Kennels™, separated by privacy panels, which means dogs do not have line of sight between kennels. Each bunk includes a comfy bed to ensure a truly relaxing sleep – perfect for dreaming about all the new friends they’ve met.

Does Your Dog Deserve a Really Big Treat?

Then make sure they sleep in style! Tara’s Place Luxury Dens are your dog’s own mini hotel room, complete with a toddler-sized bed, warm blankets, soft pillows & special toys.

Dogs are constantly supervised indoors and out at our facility. Tara’s Place is a proud member of the American Boarding Kennels Association (ABKA) and employs 2 Certified Pet Care Technicians trained in animal behavior and handling from the ABKA.

Fresh water is provided all-day long at Tara’s Place, both inside our playrooms and in our outdoor playground. Bathroom areas are available everywhere the dogs are.

What Will My Dog Do All Day?

The day begins for our canine Sleepover guests with a morning Bathroom Break, followed by individual Breakfast Service back at their Bunk. Then its out into the play area to rub noses with the other overnighters and any Daycare-only guests.

Your little ones will spend all day playing inside and out as a pack, with plenty of attention from our staff of animal lovers. Guests are guided back to their personal bunk again for Dinner Service and a short naptime. They’ll enjoy one more time in the play areas and an evening Bathroom Break before lights out.

Once your dog meets our Requirements and drops in for their Evaluation visit, they’re invited to Sleepover. We’ll treat your pets like our very own and they’ll have more fun than they can shake a stick at!

Can My Cat Sleep Over Too?

You bet! Tara’s Place extends a warm welcome to our feline friends. Cats become part of our Kitty Community, the bright, toy-filled play room on view from our lobby. Each guest is given their own Kitty Condo, complete with a comfy bed and a personal litter tray. Once they are accustomed to their “vacation home,” our staff will routinely let your cat out to explore and play. Cats will be fed according to your instructions.

Fresh water is provided all-day long in our Kitty Community, which is completely separate from all dog areas.

What Do I Pack?

Food
Tara’s Place Sleepover guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own food to avoid tummy upsets. We will feed according to your instructions (please include a scoop and/or portion amount). You may want to include an extra day or two worth of food just in case. If by chance you forget, or your food runs out, we will substitute our store brand - CANIDAE® and Felidae - an all-natural, high quality formula. You will be charged for the amount your pet eats. $1.00/per meal.

Bedding
Pets find comfort in the reassuring scent of home and a familiar blanket or comforter is a great way to provide that. An unwashed T-shirt or other item of clothing worn by you also works well to help dogs on Sleepovers feel at home in their den.

Please Note: Separation anxiety can cause inappropriate chewing. Even ingesting of bedding and toys can occur. Our staff is vigilant in spotting and stopping such behavior ASAP. We will notify you about the problem, but we cannot repair or replace anything your dog destroys. Tara’s Place reserves the right to wash soiled articles if needed.

Tara’s Place Doggie Bunks do include a cot-style bed and our Kitty Condos have thick bedding.

Toys
Feel free to bring a maximum of 2 of your pet’s toys. Toys will remain in their personal Bunk or Condo and will not be shared.

Treats
Your dog will receive one high-quality biscuit at bedtime. Favorite treats from home are always welcome. Please let us know how many to feed and when.

Going Home

Exit baths are available for dogs only, for an additional fee.

Drop Off & Pick Up Times

Dogs and cats on Sleepover may be dropped off as early as 7 a.m. and picked up no later than 6:45 p.m.

After Hours Drop Off & Pick-Up
